As a matter of  fact it is common practice to  have the groom as Elvis, the preacher as Elvis and even the bride as Elvis. Everyone can be  Elvis even the person who gives the bride away as well as the family and friends who are all dressed up as Elvis as well. It's an Elvis kind of  event and the pictures prove it. It's cheap ...It's fun...Why  schlep  a  bunch  of  formal  wear from  New Jersey or Spain when you can jump in a costume for your wedding and have  much more fun.

    It seems as though Las Vegas theme weddings started about twelve to fifteen years ago when the big rage was Renaissance, kings and queens and the rest of the crowd was local gentry along with dukes and duchesses. The colors were vivid and rich and everyone who posed for the shot brought a great splash of color to the photo as well as the event. The people loved dressing as royalty. It's good to be king!

    In popularity next it  was Western costumes and then the Roaring Twenties costumes with gangsters and flappers. Pirates dressing up and getting married on the ship at Treasure Island Hotel, and people saying "I do " on the bridge of the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. We even had people dress up as dinosaurs making the statement that marriage was also ...yes - a "dinosaur". People were dressing up Victorian and marrying in a hot air balloon. It is endless, and the creativity is too much fun.  Now we are getting guys in the wedding party all dressing  up in baby blue tuxedos and getting married in Las Vegas like they did in the movie "The Hangover". Needless to say we ordered more blue suits.
